WENTWORTH - MILDURA - RIVERLAND S.A
DEPARTING MELBOURNE REGION
Day 1 :
Leave for your destination and make your way towards Mildura with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea stops along the way.
Arrive in Mildura and check into the Motel with time to freshen up before dinner.
Day 2:
After a cooked breakfast you will make your way to Orange World for a Train Tour which includes Look Out Tower, Packing Shed, Orchard, displays and tastings. Purchases can be made in the extensive Gift Shop.
Next stop is in Mildura to the Wharf to board the Paddlesteamer Melbourne and enjoy a cruise and experience going through the lock.
After the cruise you will have some free time for lunch in the Mall area.
After lunch you will board the coach and make your way out to visit Woodsies Gem Shop where you will be able to see jewellery making, gem cutting and a huge range of items available for purchase.
Once leaving here you will have a Tour around Mildura prior to returning to the Motel for some relaxation prior to your Dinner tonight.
Day 3:
After Breakfast this morning you will leave for South Australia's exciting "Riverland".
The first stop is the Historical Village in the town of Loxton. Here you will take a trip back in time and see how the district settlers lived in the early 1900's.
There is time for morning tea and a quick look around the Loxton Shopping Centre.
You will then re-board the Coach and make your way to Berri for your lunch stop.
After lunch you will visit the Almond Hut on the out skirts of Renmark where you can make purchases if you wish.
Next stop is to Angove Winery - lovely wines here.
Re-boarding the coach and proceeding into Renmark for a drive through the town before making your way back to Mildura and the Motel.
Relax and freshen up for Dinner tonight.
Day 4:
After Breakfast this morning you will visit the new Wentworth Military Museum and Rubys Cargo.
Next is a Town Tour of Wentworth, visiting the Perry Sandhills, Junction of the Murray & Darling Rivers and taking in all the sites.
Followed by a visit to the Historic Wentworth Gaol and then to the Pioneer Museum.
Lunch stop will be in Mildura.
After lunch you will head out to Buronga to the award winning Varapodio Estate to hear all about the Olives and the production of their Olive Oil. Great gift shop here also. Lovely spot for some Afternoon Tea if want.
Back to the Motel for relaxing prior to your dinner tonight on board the PS Mundoo or Rothbury cruising the Murray River.
Day 5:
After Breakfast board your coach for your return to your home region with stops along the way for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
